The Media Advocacy Coalition responds to the ongoing processes in Dmanisi

30 May 2021

Today, 17 May 2021, a confrontation reportedly took place at the entrance to Dmanisi, where law enforcement officers temporarily blocked the road.

The participants of the confrontation physically assaulted the camera crew of the Georgian Public Broadcaster, a journalist, a cameraman and a photojournalist, who were covering the ongoing events in Dmanisi.

The member organisations of the Media Advocacy Coalition call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate the above-mentioned incident and to allow journalists to freely cover the ongoing events in Dmanisi.
