Threatening a journalist should be a matter of criminal and political responsibility

On 27 May 2021, Nugzar Solomonidze, a member of the Georgian Dream party in Khulo, reportedly sent threatening messages to Nasi Rekhviashvili, analyst at Factcheck.ge. 

  – The Media Advocacy Coalition calls on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia to immediately investigate the incident.

  – The Coalition member organisations once again call on the leaders of the Georgian Dream to take appropriate measures to stop the systematic attacks on journalists by Government officials.
