The Media Advocacy Coalition reacts to attacks on the employees of the Formula TV

12 April 2021

Today, the 9th of April, reports emerged about the attack on Formula TV employees, and their property being damaged.

According to our information, the motive of the attack is that the TV representatives work in a government-critical television channel.

We call on the Ministry of Interior to promptly investigate the facts of the attack.

The member organisations of the Media Advocacy Coalition once again call on the highest decision-makers, the Prime Minister of Georgia, the members of Parliament, the leader of the Georgian Dream party to make public statements in support of the media and to put an end to the frequent attacks, and to immediately take preventive measures to ensure the safety of media representatives.
